Mark’s ability to play guitar in various commercial and traditional styles, and author technical advice is extraordinary. His work is a stand-out. I have worked with him for many years in many settings and highly recommend learning from him!

  2. Anna R.

Modern Guitar Method is a great all-encompassing method book. Each clearly laid-out skill is easy to understand and apply immediately. Even advanced guitarists could benefit from this book, both for their own playing and to aid in teaching young students. I’m always a fan of books that provide holistic and well-rounded approaches to learning music and this one does exactly that. It teaches music theory and emphasizes scale practice the entire time, which will yield much better results in the end, regardless of what style of music you want to play!
